No. 6B Cathedral Street is a delightful holiday apartment. It is a living history, with antiques and generous creature comforts. Above the door is the last marriage lintel of 1737. Side windows face over to Cathedral trees, neighbouring gardens and Water Wynd, used by monks of old to haul up their boats. Owned by author Ann Lindsay, whose 19th century family photos and book jacket covers adorn walls.

A stroll away are 7 eateries ranging from the 4 star Hilton Dunkeld House Hotel, to bistros, ethnic and fish and chips; tempting shops; music from gentle fiddle playing of the many talented local musicians most evenings in the nearby Taybank Inn to classical concerts within the Cathedral; art galleries and year round Beatrix Potter exhibition.

St Columbia's bones rested at Dunkeld, his followers having established a monastery; the effigy of a legendary warrior, the dastardly Wolf of Badenoch's is within the Cathedral; ransacked following the battles in 1689 after the death of the romantic 'Bonnie' Earl of Dundee. Robbie Burns visited famous fiddler Neil Gow in 1787; Queen Victoria was 'much pleased' to visit many times; J.M.Barrie's 'Little Minister' was filmed there; Alexander MacKenzie, first Canadian Prime Minister was born here.
